Don’t buy it to help us, buy it if you really want one.This is a short novel, about 60,000 words. We are probably going to get some for giveaways, and because I just want one, but we don’t really count on the POD version to pay our bills. It is exactly as described, a collector edition. It is expensive, beyond what I personally would consider a bargain, and is about 2/3 of the length of Magic Burns.
So, just to be clear: this is a version for people who either don’t like to read in electronic format or who just want to have a printed volume to keep as a keepsake or to give to someone as a gift. We are absolutely thrilled that you liked it so much.
It sold so well, we can afford to hire someone to do an audio version. We never had a book stay in top 100 on Amazon for so long.
Gordon and I know that many of you would like to support us, but Clean Sweep has already sold incredibly well in e-format. 🙁ģ) Because it’s a POD, the format of the book is more of a Trade Paperback than a mass market. POD creators lack the ability to do special paper inserts, so to have color illustrations, the entire book would have to be printed on the special paper. Color illustrations have to have special paper. Black and white illustrations can be printed on regular paper. 🙂Ģ) To keep the cost down, we had to go to black and white illustrations. We will be getting about $2.50 from each copy sold through Amazon.
